What is O level ?

       O level computer course is a basic computer course in which you are given information about all types of applications. The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology - NIELIT, formerly known as O level, is an O Level Certificate course by the DOEACC Society (Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses), which is recognized by a university with a CS(Computer Science) diploma, It is equal. The O level course is of 01 year duration, the process of which is in accordance with the semester system. This course provides information about the foundation syllabus of Information Technology.

Educational qualification/ Eligibility Criteria for O level computer course

1) The general eligibility criteria to pursue the NIELIT (DOEACC) 'O' Level certification states that candidates need to complete their 10 + 2 education or possess ITI Certificate of one year after class 10 followed in each case by an accredited 'O' Level Course.
OR
Possess a Government recognized polytechnic engineering diploma after completing class 10 followed by an accredited 'O' level course concurrently during the third year of the said polytechnic engineering diploma course. 
2) For direct applicants, 10 + 2 or ITI Certificate (one year) after class 10 followed in each case, by one-year relevant experience. (Relevant experience is job experience in IT, including teaching in a recognized institution as faculty member, excludes coaching.
OR
Have passed NCVT-DP&CS (Data Processing & Computer Software) Examination conducted by DGE&T (Govt. of India).

O Level Course Admission Process/ How to apply for O Level Computer Course

        O level computer course can be done in 2 ways, first directly i.e., online(you can apply directly by visiting NIELIT website)  and second by any institute, if you have any problem in doing it directly, then you can go to any institute and take admission and get your registration from there. You can prepare for the level and do the O level course by giving exams. If you take admission in an institute to do O level course, then registration, fee payment etc. is done by the institute, for which they also charge a fee. After taking O level course from the institute, the institute takes care of all the aspects of classes and courses.

     You can also register online and prepare for yourself and take the online test. For this, you will have to go to nielit's website student.nielit.gov.in and get O level online registration for O level computer course exam and give online exam of the course on the basis of self study.

O level course fee

      If you are going to apply directly in the O level course, then ask yourself the first question, will you understand the O level course without the help of any teacher. If you are able to do this, then you can do O level computer course sitting at home for a very low fee, which will cost around 3 to 4 thousand rupees by putting both semesters.

O Level Course Examination System

      The O level course examination is conducted twice a year. Whichever exam session you apply for, the exam starts on your second Saturday in the month of January or July of that session. After the first paper, all three of your remaining papers will be held in the following days, you can also apply to give two papers in a day. While applying for the paper, you also have to pay the examination fees for each paper, which you can see in NIELIT website. Only after passing the exam can you apply for practical examination and interview (viva). The examiner answers the optional questions in the exam, whose question paper is divided into 2 parts, the first part contains 40 questions and the second part consists of 60 questions. 2. M2-R4 (internet technology and web design)
3. M3-R4 (Programming and problem solving through ‘C’ programming)
In this you have to choose one of the three :
1. M4.1-R4 (Application of .Net programming)
2. M4.2-R4 (introduction to multimedia)
3. M4.3-R4 (introduction ICT Resources)
There are four papers to be given in this way. 

O level course syllabus 

      O level computer course syllabus is divided into two parts which are thematic and practical. For O level course, you have to undergo theory and practical in two semesters. inside it you get 4 subjects and out of the four, and each of the four subjects has an exam, along with these four papers, there is a practical and project of the subject. You are not given an O level certificate before the completion of the project work. The subject wise syllabus of each semester related to O level computer course is given below.

O Level Admit Card

       The O level course examination is conducted at the institute level for which the candidate can choose according to their convenience while applying for the exam. Admit cards are available on the official website of NIELIT shortly after depositing the examination fee. For appearing in the examination, it is mandatory for the candidate to carry the admit card and photo identity card.

O level course result

        The result of the O level computer course is given on the website of NIELIT 2 months after the examination is conducted, from where the candidates can view and download it. Candidates who had applied through an institute can also seek their results from the institute. The result will be calculated on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in the computer based examination. Results will be given in the type of grade. A candidate with less than 50% marks will be deemed to be unsuccessful. For your information, let us know that practical marks are not added to the result, but to get O level certificate, it is necessary to pass practical examinations and finish the project.

Education requirements can vary, but web designers can get entry-level work with an associate's degree. Bachelor's degrees provide students with an expanded and advanced skill set that can lead to better job prospects or career advancement.
• IT lab Assistant/Demonstrator
         To demonstrate use of practical equipment (including where relevant, software packages), experiments, exercises, techniques and/or processes that may form an element of an undergraduate course of study in line with specific learning objectives, set by others.
